Talent, Workforce & Education Working Group Meetings

On June 29, 2022, Centralina hosted the first working group committee meeting for Talent, Workforce & Education. The committee was established to meet with front line professionals to discuss Workforce and Talent opportunities and challenges.  The meeting was  guided by chairs Danielle Frazier and Anna London of CharlotteWorks and Anna Lu Wilson of Centralina Workforce Development Board staff.  Participants represented all nine counties of the Centralina Region and industries of distribution, government, advanced manufacturing and non-profit. The Committee conducted brainstorming activities with interactive discussion and high engagement topics emerged.

A follow-up meeting for the Talent, Workforce & Education Working Group was held on August 3, 2022.  Attendees further discussed the themes of

  • Accessibility & Workforce System: Foster strategies that market and promote services of the workforce development providers across the region
  • Engagement & Collaboration: Create opportunities across the region for strengthening relationships and collaboration in support of workforce and economic development alignment.
  • Industry & Education Partnerships: Better align business and education to help grow and diversify career pathways, to include upskilling, and further engaging workforce partners to develop talent in alignment with business needs.
