The population of young professionals aged 25-44 grew by 42,000 people over the last 5 years in the Centralina region, reaching a total of 634,000, a 7% increase. Within the region, Cabarras County grew its 25-44 year-old population the fastest – 12%, followed by Mecklenburg County (9%) and Gaston County (6%). All other counties in the region witnessed an increase in their 25-44 year-old population, with the exception of Anson County.
